Real Dialogue Across Political and Social Divides

The Depolarization Podcast cover art featuring the two hosts

Ela and Baltazar differ in many ways

Ela is a Mexican-American woman in her 40s, Baltazar is a white guy, 23 and from Denmark — but one thing they share is that they want to connect and understand each other.

We want to show that it is possible to have differences in opinions, experiences and beliefs, and still be friends.

In a world where most media is about debating, convincing and picking sides, we are doing something different: our conversations are not about who is right and who is wrong, they are about seeing our shared humanity.

Baltazar likes Joe Rogan and Ela doesn't. Can we talk about it? (Part 1)

Baltazar is a long time Joe Rogan listener. In Ela's circles he's cancelled. In this first episode we sit down to actually talk about why, what it triggers, what it says about our values, and whether we can genuinely understand each other's perspective and hold the pain underneath it. We navigate this conversation with care as our conversations touches many sensitive topics such as censorship, freedom of speech, racism, American politics, and Donald Trump.
